Ipswich Umbrella – Workshops
We held the second two workshops in the ReUse/Recycle series and they were well attended and enjoyable, we hope to put on more of these in the autumn and would like suggestions of what ReUse/Recycle workshops would be interesting to people.

Ipswich Umbrella – Craftivists
Saturday 11th July 12.00 – 14.00

You may have noticed if you have walked past Ipswich Umbrella recently the Craftivists have been busy with the window which is decorated with RE words i.e. words that start with the letters RE.

Seeds of Hope and Action is a joint initiative of the Soka Gakki International (SGI) and the Earth Charter International.  There are 25 panels which will be installed in DanceEast in September.  The Craftivists will be creating a window display for this.  To this end we will be making a tree on Saturday 11th July.  We would love some help, so if you are interested please come along.  Alternatively, if you just want to bring your own work and have a chat you would be welcome.

Letter writing event

Following the People’s Emergency Briefing screening several of us got together for tea, cake, conversation and letter writing to our MP Jack Abbott. When we had finished we walked down to the Labour Party office and popped them in the letterbox. Let’s hope he will attend our next People’s Emergency Briefing screening. To date we have not had any reply from him.
